It’s not everyday that an artist comes along and is able to command such attention, particularly in a thriving UK genre. But singles like ‘Glow’, which preceded excellent EP ‘Shine’, show exactly why.

‘Shine’ is out now, and you can hear it here: https://soundcloud.com/juststash/sets/shine-ep

Excellent pop single ‘Something More’ from Luke Potter

Having travelled the world to find inspiration for his music and lyrics, Luke Potter is a deceptively grown up singer-songwriter for a man of his age. Specialising in songs which are widely relatable, his latest single is the excellent ‘Something More’.

It’s available now on iTunes, alongside various other of his singles, albums and EPs which have got the attention of music fans in both the UK and the US. And, with a modern pop style of singer-songwriting, he’s likely to keep picking up more and more.

Ellie Jane continues her momentum with new EP – ‘Clocks’

It’s been a big couple of years for young UK song writer Ellie Jane. This talented young lady reached the final of Open Mic UK, a huge national independent talent competition, in 2015 and also saw a collaboration with drum’n’bass duo Mind Vortex featured on Radio 1. These things don’t happen by accident, and are a marker for just how promising Ellie Jane’s musical career could be.

Her latest effort, six song EP ‘Clocks’, sees her working solo. As demonstrated by the lead track above, her sound is built on the foundations of accessible pop. However, her love for urban, hip hop and drum’n’bass is also evident on the EP, setting her apart from many of her peers.

Upbeat pop track out now from George Montague – ‘Lost’

Versatile and extremely talented in too many areas of music to list, George Montague is a singer-songwriter who could take his pick of style, genre or career in the music industry. Choosing to specialise in a lovely, lilting pop sound, Montague is celebrating the release of his album ‘Curiouser and Curiouser George’ with this excellent single and video.

Drawing favourable comparisons to the likes of Ed Sheeran and perhaps even Jack Johnson, Montague builds this catchy little number around a fun acoustic guitar rhythm, over which his honeyed vocal fits perfectly. It’s precisely this level of talent which has put Montague’s YouTube views up into the millions, and if you’ve clicked on the video above, you’ve just added yourself to an ever growing list of people discovering the excellence of George Montague.

‘Wonder’ track online now from excellent ‘Clockface’ concept album – The Kite Collectors

Clocking in at a healthy 14 songs, ‘Clockface’ is the critically acclaimed debut album by Wiltshere trio The Kite Collectors. Principally written by vocalist and guitarist Robby Allen, the album is a concept album full of sharp tales and wit, driven by the rock genre.

Taken from the album for promotional purposes, ‘Wonder’ is a track that stands ably on its own two feet. From the assured acoustic blues opening, there’s a feeling that this is a song that knows where it’s going. And as the fuller sound kicks in and the song rolls towards it’s short, sharp climax, that feeling doesn’t dissipate.

Producer Francis Groove with ace new single out now

In the last decade or so, there have been a number of artists who have moved from producers and DJs showcasing the work of others to respected artists in their own right. The likes of Roger Sanchez and Calvin Harris have opened the doors for talented men and women who are able to offer a live feel to produced pop, and latest person to walk through that door is the excellent Francis Groove.

He’s already got a bit of traction in his home country of Belgium, and new single ‘Alright (Take My Hand)’ – which you can hear above – will hopefully get some attention on a wider scale.

Beautiful new single from Rachel Johnson – ‘Safe Island’ out now

It’s strange that the lasting impression left by Rachel Johnson’s new single is so different from the one you initially start with. As the song ends, you’re left with a rhythmic, epic chorus ringing in your ears. However, press play again and you’re reminded that everything starts very differently – with subtle melodies and simple instrumentation.

It’s remarkable that the song moves from one to the other without lurching clumsily, instead building in an organic way towards its huge finale. ‘Safe Island’ is out today on iTunes, and proves that Rachel Johnson certainly has a way about her.

New video from Naomi – ‘Take Back the Power’

19 years old but already getting herself heard in the music industry, Naomi is a new pop song writing force to be reckoned with. ‘Take Back the Power’ is her new video, taken from her new EP of the same name out April 22nd. And for those with a love of great pop music, this is one to get your ears around.

In fact, it might be well worth getting on board with Naomi now, because it may not be long before she’s much more widely known. National newspapers are already touting her as a possible star, and BBC radio aren’t far behind on the hype train. If you want to be able to say you were the first of your friends to hear her, then now’s the perfect time to bookmark http://www.naomimusic.co.uk/

‘Shoot The Witness’ stream out now – Strangers Know More

Originally featured on album ‘Rumours, Lies, Tears & Tantrums’, the new streaming track from vintage rockers Strangers Know More is titled ‘Shoot the Witness’ and it’s available online now. It finds the trio on great form, and it comes as no surprise to learn that they’ve been playing music – both separately and together – since the seventies.

That sort of background breeds confidence, and there’s certainly plenty of confidence on show here. It builds on simple rock song structures and foundations, but adds in flourishes from punk, new wave and even moments of pure, catchy pop.

It’s a strong cocktail, and there’s more coming soon. For more on that you can find their website here.

Naomi on target with new music – EP ‘Take Back the Power’

When an artist’s debut EP is titled ‘Take Back The Power’, the betting is good that that artist is set to make a strong impact. In the case of singer and song writer Naomi, this EP is likely to do just that.

The track above is just a small taste of her infectious pop sound, and has already got the attention of new music tastemakers at The Guardian, The Independent, BBC radio, Huffington Post and a whole lot more. Frankly, the list is too long to type out.

In addition, her music is produced by a trio of top names, who have worked with huge names including Michael Jackson, Westlife and another long list of global stars.

In short, the signs are good for Naomi and her new EP, set to make a splash on April 22nd.
