At just 19, Jess Thristan is one of the UK’s top young female singer-songwriters, and she’s returned with new single and video ‘Little Bird’:
Sweet and catchy, it’s a beautiful new offering from a great new artist who is relying on good old fashioned songwriting to make her way as opposed to over production and skimpy swimwear. It’s refreshing to see, and marks her out as a genuine talent in a tough industry to get into.
With a live performance on Radio 2 already under her belt though, Thristan has every chance of making it to the next level – a very promising prospect indeed.

Coming in like a train and only letting up for strategically placed (and very cleverly orchestrated) breakdown sections, ‘Burning’ is heavy but melodic rock from Melbourne based rockers Shadowqueen.
They’ve been compared to the likes of AC DC, The Baby Animals and Queens Of The Stone Age, and from this full impact single it’s not hard to see why. Complete with darkly lilting harmonies for the verses and a full on chorus, this is a proper rock song.
This is their first single since a debut album in 2012, and hopefully there’s plenty more to come .
Originally from the North East of England but now settled in the nation’s capital, Chris Hornsby is a singer-songwriter who clearly understands that, in mixing the sound of an acoustic guitar with some subtle, clean electric work, you can pull a fresh sounding acoustic song into solid existence. Such is the case with debut single ‘I Was Hoping I’d Run Into You’ – something of a pop song with a very comforting, familiar – and high quality – sound.
Accompanied but two excellent B-Side songs that you can hear below, the single is available now (links also below), and demonstrates that there’s a new solo artist on the radar. We look forward to hearing what’s next.
